Zack…

I had to put my dog down today. Zack was the first dog I ever owned. I got him from Mud Muppies at Pt Isabel 14 years ago when Mud Puppies was just a small trailer on the side of the road. Zack was found as a tiny puppy, eyes barely open, and so sweet smelling.

In the midst of all the maddness of rebuilding it was the toughest decision and it made me think about the quality of life and how I want to live it and where I want to live. Words that come to mind as I think about looking down on Zack with his eyes closed is serene, quiet and happy.
