LaRouche Movement in Mill Valley…

March 15, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

Last week I was hauling butt to watch a few minutes of my son’s baseball practice/scrimmage in Mill Valley. Parking was tight as I rounded the corner to get to the community Center when I noticed a hub bub, crowds of people and police cars with flashing lights. What’s this, a ruckus in Mill Valley? I parked and dashed off to the baseball fields but not before I caught a glimpse of Obama with a Hitler mustache. Read more

Talking about PMS…

March 10, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

You know some days are just bad. As women we have to juggle house, career, partner/spouse, children and pets. There never seems to be a stopping point of the things you have to do and throw into the barrell a bit of PMS…do I have to say more? My lovely little prince had quite a bit to say as I was filming him today. We were touring homes together and I thought I’d use my new flip camera. Read more

On the road to Nacasio…

dog in a truck on the road to nacasioI haven’t written in a long time. One day passes, a week folds into another and before you know it months have gone by. No apologies. I’m busy and life is full.  I was on the road to Nicasio the other day checking out a new project by Richard Margaulis on Los Robles Rd when I saw the truck in front of me and decided to take the pic. annie-lennoxI’ve been wanting new music for quite a while now. As much time as I spend in the car the 6 CDs that are in place have got to go. I love Annie Lennox so I thought I’d share her with you. If you click on the image you can go to Amazon and get a copy.

Graffiti and filth and warfare oh my…

Some of the homes that I’ve previewed today are simply disgusting and a damn shame. I walked into a house on 64th in Oakland and it was terrible. Graffiti on all the walls, windows broken into, drug paraphernalia thrown around, the smell of piss eminating from every corner…it’s these kinds of houses that I see in Oakland that have opportunity written all over them. Hi Diva,
How you holden’ down?
We met through a friend of ours.
I am curious about a listing in the North Oakland area of town. Do you think it will go for $199k or much higher?
Why are they selling it in an auction, so quickly?

I see white people…diversity in “good” communities

February 17, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Remember the movie The Sixth Sense with Bruce Willis and the kid in the movie says “I see dead people” well in my quest to find a new place to call home with no crime rate, a lovely environment, great public schools, clean and green community immediately brings to mind that movie only with the saying, “I see white people.”

If I want all of the characteristics and qualities of the list above that means, I’m afraid to say, that I’m going to be giving up diversity.

I’ve been working hard after my stint at Sitting Shiva.  WBWTR’s 70 page digital book about women building wealth was completed for the Greatest Real Estate Giveaway, I was fotunate enough to interview Michelle Lenahan and Lynnette Khalfani and I have Bernice Ross up for interview #2 as well as Barbara Stanny who has agreed to be in the hot seat next week.

The full update should be in place next week.  Make sure to check back soon!

One colonic please…

November 19, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment

So I finished my week of Sitting Shiva.

I reflected upon this last year and tried to find the lessons I was to learn. This cleansing of my soul, centering and starting of the new was supposed to be a smooth and easy process. It wasn’t to be so.

Instead the past year was like a colonic given by a first year med student. It was painful and there wasn’t a lot to smile about but the Shiva was a good thing for me. Read more

When it rains it pours…

I’ve been through the month from hell. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. Every direction turned was the wrong direction and every task has turned into a nightmare.

So you know about the Sticky Bandits well it turns out that some of them or a group similar to the ones that hit my home were caught. The SF Chron reported it. Now I am in the middle of the insurance mess. Thank god that my neighbor took pics. We burned them to Cd and I gave a copy to the claims adjuster along with the OPD police report now its a matter of itemizing everything and trying to find all the receipts. Read more

Sticky Bandits…

So my house was burglarized the other day. I dropped my kid off at school at 9AM, picked up my mom, made a pit stop and came home around 10:15AM. The front door was wide open and I’m thinking to myself “WTF? I know I locked the front door.” We get out of the car. I entered first and all I saw was my shit all over the floor and graffiti on the walls. I cried. Read more
